| ("Parent Cartridge") |
| The 357x44 B&D (Baines & Davis) was introduced in 1964 by Keith Davis
(Gunsmith) and Frank Barnes (the late, author of Cartridges of the World). The Cartridge case is formed by necking down the 44 Remington Magnum case from 44 caliber to 357 Caliber. The case length is the same. The cartridge is similar to the 38-40, do has a better powder capacity and a steeper neck design. |
