The Remington Auto-Load Cartridges were a series of 4 different Remington Autoloading Cartridges, introduced in 1906 for the Remington Model 8
, Auto-Loader rifle.
The first cartridge in the series was the 30-30 Remington, soon renamed the .30 Remington, to avoid confusion with the 30-30 Winchester. The .30 Remington was Remington's "Rimless" answer to the
"Rimmed" 30-30 Winchester, with basically the same ballistics
as the 30-30.
Cartridges were later chambered in the Remington Model 14 Pump-Action, Remington Model 30 Bolt-Action, Remington Model 81( an Improved Model 8) and the Steven's Model 425 Lever-Action Rifles. The .25, .30, and .32 are the same case with different diameter
projectiles, the .35 remington is a larger case. The .25, .30, .32 are now Obsolete, and no longer produced by the major ammunition companies, and only the .35 Remington is still in production today . |
