The 30-06 JDJ was developed from the 30-06 Springfield by
maximizing the case length and making a 60 degree shoulder angle to increase case capacity for 70 to 75 grains of water volume, for increased power capacity. The 30-06 was developed by J.D. Jones of SSK Industries for the Thompson/Center Contender single shot pistol or rifle with a special 15" SSK barrel. These cartridges were produced by Quality Cartridge Company, so they are considered a proprietary cartridge not a wildcat cartridge, unless you make your own by fireforming or have very expensive equipment. 150 grain soft point See JDJ vs regular 30-06 in picture
