The 8x50Rmm Austrian Mannlicher was introduced and adopted in 1888 for use in the
Model 1888 Mannlicher Military Straight Pull Rifle, and used in Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria,
and Italy in World Wars I&II. Also used in as a sporting caliber in Europe today.
This caliber uses the .323 (S) projectile. Not to be confused with the 8x50Rmm Lebel.
This cartridge is long obsolete,
very
scarce in Europe and
very
rare in the U.S.A.
