| 5.7 x 28mm |
| No other caliber in recent times has gained such interest as the 5.7x28mm. Developed in the late 1980s, the 5.7x28mm cartridge is part of Belgium’s FN Herstal (Fabrique Nationale de Herstal) Small Arms Innovative Weapons Systems, which uses FN Five Seven Pistols and some very unusual looking "bullpup"style carbines. There are many different verisons of these firearms, which we will leave to the gun sites, as we are concerned mostly with the ammunition as cartridge collectors. The 5.7x28mm ammunition is lighter, recoils less than comparative 9mm weapons and penetrates over 48 layers of kevlar at 200 meters with the ( SS90 AP ) FMJ projectile, |

| There are many verisons of this cartridge and it seems every time FN imports ammunition into the U.S.A., another verison is being introduced. As a web-site interested in supporting the single cartridge collector, many of the below items are limited to one cartridge and yes, that means you. If it says limit one cartridge, don't order more, or your order will be canceled. If in doubt just e-mail us. We are not hard to contact by e-mail. Dave @ (hurdcall@yahoo.com) |

| An early prototype round, it used a lightweight 23-grain (1.5 g) full metal jacket bullet with a polymer core. It was abandoned in 1994 in favor of the heavier SS190 projectile, which has greater potential for accuracy and penetration, as well as being shorter and thus easier to fit in FN's then-upcoming Five-seven pistol, as it only worked in the carbine, and FN
wanted a cartridge for both pistol and carbine weapons. |

| The now obsolete SS192 ammunition uses a 28-grain (1.8g) unmarked hollow tip, with an aluminum core. SS192 can be differentiated from SS195LF (lead-free - see above) by the brass-colored primer. Production of this round has been discontinued and it has been replaced by SS195LF. FNH USA has informed FTB that SS192 is no longer imported for commercial sale to the United States (FNH 04) H/S, year 2004 |

| The SS193 cartridge features a 55-grain (3.6 g) Sierra Game King FMJBT (Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail) projectile. The SS193's low muzzle velocity eliminates the distinctive "crack" created by supersonic rounds when used in conjunction with the P90 Gemtech sound suppressor. The SS193 suffers from greatly reduced penetration and range, but benefits from slightly lower recoil. The white colored bullet tip can identify SS193 subsonic ammunition. It was previously designated "Sb193." Its sale to civilians is restricted, but this is pre-ban (FNH 00) H/S, 2000 ammunition |

The SS195LF cartridge may be identified by the unmarked, hollow void at the tip and the silver-colored lead-free primer. Only a few boxes available, I can special order boxes or cases. e-mail me.
