450 Marlin
The 450 Marlin is a belted, rimmed, rifle cartridge introduced in 2000
by Marlin Firearm Company for the Model 1895M lever-action rifle.
The cartridge is based on the 458 Winchester Magnum, basically a
shorter version of the 458 Winchester Magnum and useful for hunting
big game up to 150 / 175 yards.
A 350 grain projectile will have a velocity of 2100 Feet per second and
3,427 foot pound per square inch. Very close to the same as a modern
heavy loaded 45-70.
