| This cartridge was developed in 2001 by Dr. John Taylor to fill the gap between the 338 Lapua and 50 BMG for the U.S. Army.. It more than did the task, with a super pointed 419 grain solid projectile with a very low coeffiecient, that after 400 yards has more energy then the 50 BMG. I think if I was looking at the 50 BMG, I would consider this cartridge a better choice, with Special Forces reporting kills at 2,300 yards! |
