40-70 Bullard
The 40-70 Bullard is one of a small family of 40 caliber cartridges made for the Bullard Lever Action Rifle introduced in 1887. The only diffence in the 40-60, 40-70, and 40 -75 Bullard cartridges is the powder charge amount and bullet weight. Case neck diameter is .413", which is a larger diameter than most 40 calibers of that day.
