| The 40-50 sharps (necked case) were introduced in 1869. Also known as the 40- 1&11/16", it was used in the 1869 model Sharps rifle. Cartridges were produced by Sharps, Winchester and UMC. I must confess as these have no Head Stamp, I am not sure which company is the maker of these cartridges. Most likely Sharps or Winchester. |
