                                     History of the 375 Winchester:
The 375 Winchester, a/k/a "Big Bore 94" was introduced  by Winchester in 1978 for the Model 1894
lever-action rifle. This is a straight wall case that filled a gap in the calibers available (at the time) for
the Model 1894, used for deer, bear and moose, although it is a short range caliber.
