| The 375 Whelen was developed by the late, Robert Wallack a gunsmith in 1951 by taking a 30-06 or 35 Whelen case and necking it up to .375" caliber. It is very close to the 375 JDJ see differences above and in the picture. The projectile are 220 grain to 300 grain. These cartridges for sale, were made from Remington 35 Whelen Cases so the headstamp will read "35 Whelen". |

| ~ Although the 375 JDJ & 375 Whelen are both made from the 30-06 or 35 Whelen cases, the 375-06 JDJ has a very short neck length due to the 60% angle which helps to increase case capacity to 77 grains (water) vs. 73 grains (water) capacity the 375 Whelen Wildcat holds, which makes the 375 JDJ ballistics more then the 375 Whelen. |
