| The .360 B.P.E. or Black Powder Express was introduced in 1873. The B.P.E. was replaced by "Nitro"(Smokeless powder)) for Black Powder Rifles in 1900 to 1902. So that makes the cartridges on this page well over 100 years old The B.P.E. versions with paper patched bullets are a rare item vs the smokeless versions called.360 Nitro Express. The .360 B.P.E. were made in 2&1/4", the more common 2&7/16" and 2&3/4". |
