The 348 Winchester was introduced in 1936 by Winchester for the Model 71 Lever Action  Rifle, which was discontinued in 1958.
This cartridge was one of the most powerful rimmed cartridges at the time, and may be used on all North American game.
This cartridge is currently not being produced by any major manufacturer, technical obsolete.
