The U.S. Department of Defense added the Hornady 300 PRC Cartridge for its extended long range sniper program on
December 6th, 2018, and awarded Barrett (BFMI) a contract to provide their MRAD rifle systems chambered in 300 PRC.
The 6.5 PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge) introduced in 2017 and is basically a shorted, necked down .375 Ruger case.
