"300 Dakota"
The 300 Dakota is one of seven Proprietary Cartridges developed by Don Allen, the  founder of Dakota Arms  in
Sturgis, South Dakota.
The Cartridge  is a shortened, necked  down 404 Jeffery case with the belt removed.
The 300 Dakota is the best (short action) 30 caliber today, with a muzzle velocity of  3,100 F.P.S. for a 200 grain
projectile, it will deliver 3,648 foot pound of energy at 100 yards and comes close to duplicating the performance of the
much enjoyed long action 300 Weatherby Magnum.
