The .300 AAC* Blackout cartridge was introduced in 2011 after SAAMI approval and was developed by the Advanced
Armament Corporation (*AAC) system to launch .30 caliber projectiles from the AR platform without a reduction in
magazine capacity and compatible with the standard bolt.
The .300 AAC Blackout has become very popular as a sub-sonic AR caliber with good knock down power at sub-sonic
speeds. 220 grain projectiles moving at 1036 feet per second producing over 500 foot pound of energy per inch.
This cartridge is now used in military and law enforcement agencies in many countries.
