22 Winchester Center-Fire, aka 22 WCF
The 22 Winchester Center Fire or 22 WCF, was introduced in 1885 for the Winchester Single-Shot rifle and used later
in the Remington Number 7 Rolling Block rifle.
The 22 Winchester Center Fire  produced app. 250 foot foot pounds of energy with black powder and was discontinued
in 1936, after the introduction of the
22 Hornet which produced almost 3 times the energy, with smokeless powder.
