| The .17 Aguila Rimfire is not the same cartridge as the .17 Hornady Mach 2. It is a completely different cartridge with the bottleneck of the case closer to the base of the cartridge than the .17 Mach 2. The .17Aguila can be fired in the the Hornady .17 Mach 2 guns, but don't fire the .17 Mach 2 in the .17 Aguila gun. This will most likely be a safety issue and I wonder how long the .17 Aguila will be in productions as it is only being made by Aguila of Mexico. This happen with the 5mm Remington back in the 1970's. Both the .17 Aguila and .17 Mach 2 were derived from the 22 Long Rifle Cartridge. |
