Not to be confused with the 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum,
or 7mm Remington Short Action Ultra Magnum.
The 7mm Remington Magnum is a belted case cartridge, introduced
by Remington in 1962 for the Remington 700 bolt-action rifle.
With velocities of up to 3,500 feet per second, and energy up to
3,178 foot-pounds per square inch, it proved to be a great long
range cartridge for the 1960s and still a good caliber today.
